Antique painted reproductions

The images beside shows a group of replicas made from Lab Federici. Most of the models shown in the gallery are painted in black. That was the most used color in ancient time. French framer used a lot dark colors during 17th to 19th century. In Italy venetians used green paint more than any other color. There is a clear example of it scrolling down the page. The most important color used in Emilia Romagna was red, while in tuscany they used a lot dark colors like black. There are as well several models of 19th century in neoclassical style coming from France that are made with white paint. Almost all the authentic models are made using a mixing of technics: lacquering and gilding. There are very few examples of them without gold leaf gilding.
